The Featured Programs on this disc are resources developed by the B.C. Ministry of Education to help teachers bring the excitement of the 2010 Winter Games to their classrooms.
Adopt a Country – Learn about another country, connect with a school in your adopted country and cheer them on during the 2010 Winter Games. Paralympic School Week – Created in partnership with VANOC and the Canadian Paralympic Committee, Paralympic School Week teaches students about the Paralympic Movement and explores concepts such as diversity, tolerance and inclusion. Sharing the Dream Webcast Series – Student-led webcasts explore themes related to the Vancouver 2010 Education Program. Student Reporter Guide – Provides an opportunity for students to learn by playing the role of journalists covering the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Lesson Starters – Contains more than 100 original teacher-developed lesson ideas relating to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Available on the web at: |
