2010 Spirit Schools

The 2010 Spirit School program, created by ActNow BC and the Ministry of Education, allowed schools to show BC and the world the amazing 2010‐related activities your students were engaged in. Schools that showed their spirit could receive a bronze, silver or gold 2010 Spirit School designation and become eligible for exciting prizes, such as visits from ActNow BC Athlete Ambassadors or the 2010 mascots!

131 Spirit Schools posted their stories by January 14, 2010, with the Grand Prize draws taking place January 15, 2010. All gold, silver and bronze medal Spirit Schools received a certificate commemorating their participation in the program.

Following a draw in each category, the following 2010 Spirit Schools were declared Gold, Silver and Bronze winners:

Seycove Secondary Community: North Vancouver

Westside Academy Community: Prince George

South Rutland Elementary Community: Kelowna
