2010 Spirit Schools

During this Olympic and Paralympic school year, there will be many opportunities to harness the interest and enthusiasm our students feel as the 2010 Winter Games approach. The 2010 Spirit School program, created by ActNow BC and the Ministry of Education, allows schools to show BC and the world the amazing 2010‐related activities that your students are engaged in.

Schools that show their spirit can receive a bronze, silver or gold 2010 Spirit School designation and become eligible for exciting prizes, such as visits from ActNow BC Athlete Ambassadors or the 2010 mascots!

Registering as a 2010 Spirit School is as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Register your school by October 31, 2009 by submitting a 2010 Spirit School entry on your community’s page at www.GamesTown2010.ca. All registered 2010 Spirit Schools are eligible for great early bird prizes and the first 100 schools to register will receive a class set of pedometers!
2.  Take the ActNow BC Healthy Living Pledge at www.actnowbc.ca/challenge/2010spiritschools/
3. Continue to participate in 2010 Winter Games educational programs and share your school’s stories, photos and videos of these activities on your community’s page at www.GamesTown2010.ca

The deadline to ensure that your school is registered is October 31, 2009, so don’t wait to register!
